For the first time since generation 2 a new pokemon element is being added to the mix: fairy-type.
Along with the new Eevee evolution, Sylveon, three previous existing pokemon have been reassigned as fairy-type: jigglypuff, marill, and gardevoir. So Pokemon researchers, how did you come to this conclusion? How have you overlooked clefairy, which the pokedex specifically identifies as the fairy pokemon?
The honest answer is that these are just four confirmed fairy-types and that clefairy will also be on the same list at a later date.
Fairy-types should bring better balance to dragon-type pokemon who have few weaknesses and have become more prevalent with each sequel.
